Basic Arithmetic Practice

Image
Maths Basic Arithmetic Code 0BAB Bodmas and Pemdas are acronyms that can help us to remember the order of operations in mathematics. They are the correct sequence to solve expressions with multiple operations in them. B rackets (parentheses) O rders (exponents) D ivision M ultiplication A ddition S ubtraction *** P arentheses (brackets) E xponents (orders) M ultiplication D ivision A ddition S ubtraction *** Three-Step Process to solve problems: Scan, Solve, Rescan; • Scan: read the expression left-to-right to identify the highest priority operation. • Solve: this singular expression, creating a new expression. • Rescan: the newly created expression, can be solved. ** Remember: multiplication outside of brackets (parentheses) does not get priority over division elsewhere. ** Example: 8+3×4= Incorrect: 8+3×4=44 (8+3=11, 11×4=44.) Correct: 8+3×4=20 (3×4 is the priority, the new expression becomes 8+12). High School Level Foundational Tier Questions (Non Calculator) 1. 4+5×3-2= 2. (8-3)×2...

The Human Brain

Image
The human brain, a remarkably complex and energy-efficient organ, serves as the central command centre of the nervous system. Composed of approximately 86 billion neurons that form trillions of synaptic connections, it is fundamentally divided into three primary regions: the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem. The cerebrum with its highly convoluted cerebral cortex, is responsible for higher-order functions such as conscious thought, reasoning, memory, and sensory processing, while the cerebellum coordinates movement and balance, and the brainstem regulates vital autonomic functions. Its intricate architecture features specialized lobes; frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital, each managing distinct cognitive and perceptual tasks. Through a combination of electrical impulses and chemical signalling, the brain not only gives rise to consciousness, emotion, and the unique human capacity for learning, adaptation, and abstract thought. An Introduction To The Unseen School

My grandfather told me that when he was a lad like me, and talking to his grandfather, about his studies alongside the ancient ones (the ancient haberdasher and his washer woman, the masher, are two such examples). He said that he heard from a quite peculiar pigeon, that a seagull truly can be observed, meowing on many video storage websites. Even their barking at a man, who himself is barking. What he was never told, was what any of it meant. A meow without lips is quite impressive, isn't it? I grew up near Merlin, and a particularly mean and dim-witted giant, who's toenails were higher than my head. To say he was just big was to proclaim Merlin to be just a wizard, pah! You wouldn't say it to their faces, but I grew up in a time far predating any, and all of your times - I am far older than a rock in the deepest abyssal plane, to the furthest and coldest planetoid in the oort cloud combined, so, you'll not have the chance to either. I believe that I have a face, and I...
